Our Big Adventures So Far
Vanlife Around Europe
In 2021 we bought a bright-yellow Ex-DHL van to convert in to our home with the idea of driving around the world while working. The first stop was Norway, the land of trolls and giants, with some of the best hiking in the world and jaw-dropping waterfalls it did not disappoint!
Backpacking South-East Asia
We soon realised the van still restricted our time and we both left our jobs in pursuit of expanding our comfort zones through the chaos of South East Asia. Starting in the Philippines we snorkelled, bungee jumped and trekked our way through Borneo, Indonesia and Thailand, spending two months in each country which gave us a true feel for local life.
Driving a Tuktuk Around Sri Lanka
Our favourite adventure to date was driving a little red tuk-tuk around Sri Lanka for two months. Staying in local homestays, driving past wild elephants and learning to surf on the south coast (with crocodiles nearby) are just a few highlights this country has to offer!
Driving The Americas
Once you get the taste of freedom there’s no going back. Determined to keep going we decided to buy a Toyota 4Runner in Chile in order to drive the whole of the Americas, making daily videos to track the journey. We’re fired up for our most adventurous expedition yet! In a strange way, overlanding in the 4Runner is like combining the Sprinter & Backpacking, you get some comfort & chaos.

Why K&M Travels?
Setting off into the unknown we found ourselves relying heavily on blogs and the occasional lonely planet book. We realised we wanted to create value for others and therefore K&M Travels was born. Over the years it has developed into not only a place for others to plan and learn about their journey, but a way for us to help others to get outside of their comfort zones by sharing some of the best adventures in every country we visit.
As we continue with K&M Travels we want to shape it into a community of people who want to try new things, explore the world and challenge themselves. In a digital world where we are supposedly more connected than ever, we find it increasingly difficult to find like-minded adventurers and un-touched travel destinations and we hope our blog can be a hub for just that.
