Scandi Roadtrip

Sprinter Expedition

This is where it all started, our first overland trip in our converted LWB DHL Sprinter Van.

We didn’t know it at the time, but we were driving toward a different kind of life. Mike ran his full-time job from the van, Kate launched this blog, and together we discovered what slow travel actually feels like and feel in love with the lifestyle.

We choose Norway for the fjords, northern lights and epic hiking trails and Norway delivered on almost all of it. The northern lights are still on the bucket list! But Pulpit Rock, Trolltunga, and mornings spent fishing for mackerel from shorelines we had entirely to ourselves more than made up for it.

We had planned to go up to Lofoten, however with long work days the distance seemed unachievable.. tell that to us know as we drive from Argentina to Alaska! Anyway… it gives us a reason to return!

LWB Mercedes Sprinter
A little house on wheels! With a full kitchen including an oven, a shower, toilet, heating and epic electrical setup this was truly a home on wheel.

We spent years dreaming about this vehicle and are super proud with how it turned out. Find out more about our Sprinter here.
