Wild elephants roam the streets in Arugam Bay while in the mountains tea pickers are constantly working away surrounded by a landscape so green and dense. Crocodiles lay at the side of the road while surfers in Weligama perfect their pop up. The landscapes, wildlife and activities should be enough to sell Si Lanka but if you still need convincing the cuisine is also amazing. Sri Lankan curries, Kottu and Hoppers all need trying.
