Our Pan-Am Journey

From travelling Europe in a van to backpacking South East Asia, we have developed an un-tamed desire to explore the world. The Pan American Highway was once a distant dream for us, working from England in the typical "stable" careers - one day we decided to quit, pack our bags and take a huge risk, to leave it all behind. Now we're driving from Argentina from Alaska and want you to join us.

How Much Does It Cost?

Northbound with Yoti email statistics for ourbudget breakdown

Find out how much it costs us to travel the Pan American Highway and overland on a budget... is it even possible?

Why The Pan-Am?

Why Overland The PanAm?

The Pan American is an iconic road trip through 16 countries, different cultures and landscapes. We were drawn to the adventure due to the variety, plus there are some pretty epic tracks to drive like the Lagunas Route in Bolivia. It was once a pipedream, something that wasn’t attainable or possible, but here we are making tracks North!

How Will We Cross The Darien Gap?

We will most likely ship the car in a container with Overland Embassy. Lucky enough we're a small car (not a big camper) so we should be able to share a container with a buddy to cut costs. And for us? We’re still planning but we don’t really want to fly! Follow along as we figure this out.

Our Top Travel Tips for Travellers

Just say yes. It’s scary. There will be hard moments, but that's what makes it worth it. Normal life is a sustained “happiness” full of comfort leading you to generate problems that don’t matter. Getting out of your comfort zone makes you appreciate what you have to another level. Travel has lower lows but higher highs. It all starts with a yes.

What We’ve Learned So Far

The local people around the world are the kindest. The news reports the worst cases but reality is often far from that. Of course you have to be careful but most people are good, kind caring people.
