Best Waterfalls Siquijor
Lugnason Falls
Surrounded by lush green jungle in the heart of Siquijor lies the cascading Lugnason waterfall. With rope swings and beautiful refreshing water, many visitors choose to visit Lugnason instead of the busier Cambugahay if you prefer less crowds. Location 📌
This hidden gem is one of Siquijor’s best waterfalls, it’s certainly not the tallest or most beautiful on the island, however it is nestled amongst the dense jungle, a hidden oasis with a rope swing jump and bamboo benches to relax. We had Locong Falls all to ourselves which made for a nice change compared to many of the other attractions on the island. Location 📌
Kawasan Falls
A small and conserved waterfall with a hidden cave and Tarzan swing. If you prefer more off the beaten track adventures with less tourists, then Kawasan is just that. Location 📌
The most famous Siquijor attraction is Cambugahay Falls, a multi-tier waterfall with vibrant blue waters. Head to this waterfall early or face the huge crowds that flock to this attraction, although it is probably still Siquijor’s best waterfall, it’s certainly the busiest. Location 📌
Lagaan Falls
Another gem of a waterfall on Siquijor and a natural playground, explore Lagaan Falls with a short walk down to the pool. With benches and easy access in and out of the water, a rope swing, natural slide and even a small cave. You could easily spend an hour or two at this beautiful spot. Location 📌
Cangbangag Falls
Siquijor’s tallest waterfall and not the easiest to get to, you’ll most likely need to drive a scooter to get to Cangbangag Falls and make sure it’s not peak dry season as it can dry up easily. Once you manage to park your scooter, you’ll then have to face a treacherous hike down to the pool, well worth it however based on all of the Google Reviews. Location 📌
Best Siquijor Caves
Wading through the underground Cantabon Cave system in the heart of the Mount Bandilaan National Park, will feel like you’ve been transported to another world. Learn about the rock formations and all about the underground wildlife that survives in the dark, cold conditions. The National Park also offers plenty of other things to do and see nearby. Location 📌
Canhaling Cave
A stunning spiral staircase leading you to what feels like the centre of Siquijor! This place is pretty undiscovered with little infrastructure setup and no guides hassling you. If you prefer to explore on your own terms, then this cave is for you, with overgrown plants and very slippery rocks, you will eventually come out to a bat filled cave with a refreshing pool. Location 📌
Sambulawan Underground River
A narrow cave system with crystal clear blue water, Sambulawan Underground River is for the adventurous. Discover the stalagmites and stalactites formed over hundreds of years as well as trek under thousands of bats that populate the cave roof above! Location 📌

Best Time To Visit Siquijor
How To Get To Siquijor?
Siquijor is a relatively small Filipino island with a very small airport so the best way to get there is by ferry, however flights run daily from Cebu and take roughly an hour but expect it to cost!
Ferries run very often from the nearby islands of Cebu, Negros and Bohol making it easily accessible. One of the most popular routes is from Moalboal after flying into Cebu City, this is what we opted for and would highly recommend it.
Best Places To Eat In Siquijor
Y-Road - A small unassuming restaurant near Locong Falls that serves some of the best local food on the island.
Roadside Diner - a local eatery that serves the best bbq chicken we’ve ever tasted and at a budget friendly price. If you’re in Siquijor you need to eat at Roadside Diner at least once!
Marco Polo Italian Restaurants - If you're looking for Western Food you can grab a great pizza here.
Best Places To Stay Siquijor
Siquijor has lots of accommodation whether you’re looking for a dive school, a luxury resort or a budget hostel you’ll be able to find somewhere. We recommend staying in the main hub of San Juan as this is where most of the restaurants are located as well as easy access to most of the island's attractions.
We use Booking.com and HostelWorld for all of our stays around the world!

Top Tips For Travelling The Philippines
If you’re visiting the Philippines here are our top travel tips:
Book flights in advance - they can become expensive if you leave it last minute… oh and check your luggage allowance to skip expensive check in fees at the airport. Don't forget your Apple Airtags to track your bags
Agree on taxi prices upfront - when getting into a tuk-tuk, tricycle or taxi, make sure you agree on a price or they have a meter, so many tourists get ripped off with a huge price tag at the end of the ride.
Take it slow - don't feel the need to see all the islands, we recommend picking a few and doing them properly. See the island in full, find some locals and sing Karaoke..
Embrace the chaos and get stuck in, the locals are friendly and love to help and share information about their home!
