The Best Travel Insurance App: Why We Love SafetyWing Nomad Insurance
We’ve been travelling as nomads for the last two years and are so glad to have found SafetyWing! If you’re looking for a good, reliable and easy to use travel insurance, SafetyWing’s Nomad insurance is for you. We use SafetyWing for our travels and love how they have made insurance easier to navigate through their user-friendly mobile app.
The apps dashboard allows you to quickly view your current policy, as well as update the coverage you need and manage your plan. You can also chat with customer care and make a claim right from the app… no more carrying around bulky insurance policies on paper or rooting around in your emails for your long lost insurance policy when you need it! We think its one of the best travel insurance apps on the market.
SafetyWing’s Mobile App
If you’re looking for an insurance company that makes sense and makes insurance simple, SafetyWing is the one! Here’s everything you can do all from your phone in their easy to use app:
Make Claims
After so long on the road, we’re lucky that we have never had to make a claim… losing Kate’s luggage on arrival to the Philippines was the closest we came. Apple air tags in our bags meant we could track our bags and eventually get it back. However, it was peace of mind to know that SafetyWing covers lost checked-in baggage and that we could have quickly made a claim on the app, a life saver when travelling.
On the app you can make medical and non-medical claims, which really takes the stress out of insurance. Often, we’ve lost our insurance policy buried in our emails, but there’s no chance of that with SafetyWing. We were previously with Tesco Bank insurance who only sent one email with the original policy, had no online portal and claims had to be made through phone calls (even from abroad), so we’re extremely grateful it’s now so easy.
Eeek! A ski trip didn’t go to plan! Check out what happened!
Manage Your Nomad Insurance Plan
With the handy SafetyWing app you can manage your Nomad Insurance plan on the go from your phone. As two people who live on the road, either out of our backpacks or in campervans, this is super handy. It allows us to double check our policy, add coverage when we need it and keep up to date with our SafetyWing Subscription. If you’re a digital nomad like us this is a must and makes travel insurance so much easier, it also allows you to manage your billing and update the monthly subscription when you need Nomad Insurance.
Make sure you’re prepared with the right coverage!
Chat With Customer Care
You can also use the chat function to ask questions; you’ll get a reply in under a minute which makes getting coverage and claims easier and more accessible than ever. If you have any questions about your travel insurance, the SafetyWing Team are there to put your mind at ease.
It’s easy and quick to chat with customer care on the app... although I'm not sure loosing your luggage in a black hole is a common problem...
Closer Look At The SafetyWing App (We Told You It Makes Life Easy)
