Where Is Pacifico Beach On Siargao?
Pacifico beach is located in the North East of Siargao in the up and coming surf town of Pacifico, a much quieter and relaxed hub to stay compared to the main area of General Luna and Cloud 9 in the south.
How To Get To Pacifico Beach Siargao?
If you’re staying in the main hub of General Luna, to Pacifico Beach the drive takes 1 hour. This may seem like a long trip but you can break it up by visiting other attractions on the way such as the Magpupungko Rock Pools or Tayangban Cave. We think it’s definitely worth the drive!
The best way to navigate Siargao is by scooter, we rented ours for ₽300 a day and loved whizzing up North to explore more of the island, the roads are pretty well kept on Siargao and traffic was never an issue outside of Tourism Road. On the way up you’ll spot so many sights of local life including the water buffalo, small villages and vulcanising shops (garages), we were unfortunate enough to get two flat tyres!
If you don't fancy driving a scooter in the hot midday heat we don't blame you! We recommend Hiring a Private Driver to take you around the island. This Budget Land Tour in Siargao has thousands of bookings and 4.5 star ratings!
Pacifico Beach Description
As you head north weaving through the windy roads of Siargao lined with coconut trees, you will eventually pull into the relaxed town of Pacifico, a digital nomads dream. If you visit in peak season (March-May) there will most likely be a trail of scooters parked along the road leading to the entrance of Pacifico Beach, locals will also probably immediately ask you if you’d like to surf.
To find a quieter spot in peak season, just keep driving for a few minutes past the main entrance and restaurants to find a secluded part of the beach, there are plenty of other small parking areas to enjoy the beach from.

Pacifico Beach Surfing
The main reason people visit the town of Pacifico is for the surf breaks, if you’re new to surfing we recommend booking some Surf Lessons before attempting to rent a board.
Peak surf season for Pacifico is October-December where only the advanced surfers take on the Big Wish - ‘the biggest and best left-handed wave in Siargao’, arguably better than Cloud 9. Along with Pacifico, in the north of Siargao there are also the smaller and more local towns of Burgos & Tangbo which each have world-class waves in different conditions.
For intermediate surfers, Pacifico beach offers multiple surf breaks relatively close to each other, both left and right-hand waves best surfed on mid to low tides. Take your pick, rent a board and speak to the locals, they are best to guide you where to go.
For beginners, as you pull into the main Pacifico Beach parking area, you will usually see a lot of locals selling lessons, we recommend making sure they have good reviews and are reputable before choosing them. Siargao isn’t known as the surfing capital of the Philippines for no reason, so we highly recommend booking a good Surf Lesson In Cloud 9 or Pacifico.

Best Places To Stay Siargao
Siargao has lots of accommodation whether you’re looking for a surf school, a luxury resort or a budget hostel you’ll be able to find somewhere.
We recommend staying in the main hub of General Luna as this is where most of the restaurants are located, as well as easy access to most of Siargao's best tourist attractions. If you want to get away from the crowds you could head up north and stay in Pacifico, which is the northern hub of the island best known for being home to some of Siargao's best surf spots.
We use Booking.com, Agoda and HostelWorld for all of our stays in The Philippines!
Below we share some recommend places to stay in General Luna, Siargao:
Where We Stayed In General Luna
We chose the budget option of Dream Catcher Nipas when staying in General Luna mainly due to the kitchen which allowed us to cook our own breakfasts and lunches. These are very basic triangular huts which have mattresses on the floor so don't expect anything fancy, but the location is perfect for General Luna and the grounds are lovely.
We recommend a minimum of a week on Siargao, especially if you want to learn to surf. The island has an abundance of activities for you to explore and it’s also a great island for digital nomads. Here’s our highlights.
Top Pick: Magpupungko Rock Pools
A natural attraction that is stunningly beautiful at low tide. You can spend a couple of hours exploring the beach, cliff jumping and swimming in the warm Tidal pools!
Can’t Miss: Learn To Surf
A must in Siargao due to the world famous waves, there are lots of surf spots and shops offering surf lessons.
Off The Beaten Track: Tayangban Cave Pools
A short cave system with a crystal pool at the end to relax in.
